Carolina Christmas

I can't believe that I am starting another new project. I wasn't going to, but when I looked in my stash and realized that I didn't have to purchase any fabric, (maybe the borders, later) I decided that I would go ahead and start. Carolina Christmas is one of Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilts. The mystery actually started the day after Thanksgiving, but I am just now starting mine. I knew when I decided to start it that there was no way I could keep with up the clues. I think clue number 4 is already out, and I have just finished cutting the strips for clue number 1. My goal for next year is to do some major stash busting, and I thought this would give me a head start on it. Anyone else out there following along with Bonnie's mystery?

Are you going to try to post stashbusting reports? It is fun, even though I have not made it to my goal yet.

I need to check out the mystery quilt, though I have two I haven't finished yet!

I am doing Carolina Christmas and CAroline Crossing at the same time. I am half way through step 4 on Car Christmas and doing tiny triangles on Car Crossing. Fabric all over the place!!

Yep, I'm sorta doing Carolina Christmas also. But I'm only making half of what ever amount is listed. Hopefully, I'll have a smaller quilt although I may have to add some units to have the correct number of things. I've got Clue 1 half done (of the half I'm making) so I'm not far along.

Admitting stashbusting or lack of it helps keep me on track. I'm going to try to get one more quilt finished so I'll actually use, maybe 10 yards of fabric this year. Sheesh. I've been acquiring it faster than I am using it! But it is a start!

I'm printing out the directions for this mystery quilt, but not actually sewing it. I'll look forward to seeing your quilt and Karin's.
