Christmas Through the Year

One of my goals this year is to make at least one Christmas present each month, (I like to have  my stuff done by Thanksgiving so I don't stress too much).  Another goal is to make up some of the kits that I have in my sewing room.  This month I was able to do both. Actually I started this kit last a couple of months ago, it is a really old Moda Three Sisters line and kit.  When I started it I thought I would give it to my brother and his wife, but as I worked on it I realized that it looked exactly like my aunt.  It is a really easy pattern and Leisa did a wonderful job quilting it.  The only thing I have left to do is make a label and finish the pillowcase that I am making out of leftover fabric.  I love Christmas and decided a couple of years ago that I would make everyone in my family a Christmas quilt.  Last year I made my two great nephews and my great niece quilts, since I decided to give this one to  my aunt, I need to dig through my stash of kits and find one to give to my brother.

It is a beautiful quilt. I love how it spoke to you and chose to be a quilt for someone else. Such a lovely idea to give a quilt for xmas.

What a thrill to find that under the tree! It looks like a fun pattern and your colors are so pretty. Isn't it nice when your projects find the perfect recipient? I'll bet your aunt will love it!
