Yesterday was the Sue Spargo workshop sponsored by The East Cobb Quilt Guild. I had been looking forward to it all week. On Friday night I got some of my things together but not everything, deciding instead to get up early Saturday morning and get everything together, start some laundry and make my grocery list. I set up clock (DH was out of town), went to bed late and woke up at 8:20. The workshop started at 9:30 and was on the other side of town. I hurriedly showered, got dressed, got all of my materials together and took off; taking my coffee with me. I was about 5 minutes from the house when I spilt my coffee all over me. No time to go home and change I would just have huge coffee spots all over me. I got there and realized that the one thing I forgot was my lunch, it was an all day workshop. Things could only get better from here, and thankfully they did. I knew a few people in the workshop, people I had not seen in forever and it was great to see them. Sue Spargo is wonderful. She is extremely knowledgeable about wool and all kinds of stitchery. The project for the day was a sampler of 12 different flowers. I worked on three different flowers. I realized that there are a lot of stitches out there that I have never heard of before.
