My birthday is later this week, and I usually celebrate the entire month of February, this year I get an extra day to celebrate thanks to Leap Year. The celebration began yesterday with an outing to a movie. I saw, The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, this was one of my favorite book series of the last few years, however; I was somewhat disappointed in the movie. If you had not read the book it would have been great, but since I had read the book first there were just too many things that were different. I think that now I want to see the Swedish version. After the movie it was out to dinner with my brother and Peggy, they took me to Uncle Julio's. It was great! On top of the movie and dinner they gave me a book that I had been wanting to read, Lionheart by Sharon Kay Penman. I really like her books.
To celebrate my birthday I am doing a giveaway, a Bali Pop,in Mulberry. If interested leave me a comment telling how you celebrate your birthday. For an extra chance to win mention the giveaway on your blog. The winner will be announced next Monday, February 13th. Good Luck.

A very happy birthday to you! For my birthday I usually try to ignore the day...I've never been much on birthdays myself but love to celebrate with others.
So you celebrate all month, great! Do you get to celebrate by going to Ellijay? We had a family party for mine as I almost share the day with my daughter and granddaughter.

I celebrate all month too! My birthday was just a couple of weeks ago, and January is my favorite month because of my birthday.
My husband has not read the books, but saw the Swedish version of Dragon, and really enjoyed it.
Happy Birthday to you! My birthday is next month and I always take the day off from work, have lunch with a dear friend, and hit a few quilt shops...
Happy Birthday! I'll be celebrating my birthday next week on Valentine's Day. I'm going to take my 1 year old daughter to Boston's for a heart shape pizza since daddy will be working out of town. I love to celebrate all month long as well.
Happy Birthday! Celebrating all month sounds like a fun idea. For years, DH and I have used the "simplify" excuse for not doing much at birthday times, but I'm thinking that we need more celebrations as we grow older. Maybe I will try that celebrate all month idea in a couple months when my day rolls around. That would shake him up! :-)
Happy Birthday! Sounds like you are off to a great start in your celebration. :-) Mine is in November and DH usually takes me out somewhere special. Thanks for the chance!
Since my birthday is in June, it was a celebration not having to work that month.I attended many Summer sessions in college. Seemed our first exams were often on my birthday. I believe in eating cake for my birthday. Eating out for lunch and dinner throughout the week is a fun way to celebrate. I think this Bali Pop should be mine since it is called Mulberry:) Enjoy your special birthday celebration this weekend. Hope to see you soon!
Happy Birthday...well, normally nothing special for my birthday. One year I baked and decorated with lots of frosting flowers a cake. I am allergic to wheat and eggs, so did not get one bite, but my family did. I wrote Happy Birthday all over the cake also. Kinda crazy, but fun for me to have a fancy cake, even if I could not even taste the thing!
We pick a movie we want to see and the place we want to eat then all attend together. Been doing it for many years and we all love it.
