Happy Thanksgiving

 

This year I am so thankful for my health and my family.  This has been a medically trying year for my family.  My mom had surgery, my DH had surgery and I had both foot surgery and  gum surgery.  Finally I can say that we are all on the road to recovery and looking forward to a better  medical year in 2014.  I am also thankful that both my DH and I have jobs in this difficult economy.  I hope that everyone has a safe, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving in Kindergarten Land

Yesterday was the annual Thanksgiving celebration in Kindergarten.  The kindergarten students dress either as a pilgrim or an Indian.  They are just too cute.

What Thanksgiving is almost here, what happened to October?  I still have some Halloween decorations out.  The calendar can't be right, but I am afraid that it is.  I need to start thinking about Christmas, but can't forget about Thanksgiving.  I always feel like  Thanksgiving is the stepchild of fall holidays.  Everyone goes all out for Halloween and Christmas, but Thanksgiving often gets overlooked.  I am guilty of it as well.  I realized that I have no Thanksgiving decorations.  This year I decided to change that.  I found a new table runner pattern fro Bird Brain designs,( it even comes with a Halloween stitchery pattern also).  I dug through my stash and found some fall fabrics to use for it.  I have almost completed one of the stitchery panels.
