Design Wall Monday

I am moving at a snails pace, but getting there.  I have one more section to get together before I can put it all together.  I am anxious to get it together so I can start working on the borders.  There is a narrow green border before the applique border.  I thought I had picked out the fabric for the first border but the more I look at it the more I have decided that I really don't want to use it.  I need to look for something else.  This time next week it will definitely be finished.

Design Wall Monday

It isThis is exactly what my design wall looked like two weeks ago.  I finally have all of the pieces for the pieced blocks for Comfort and Joy, now I just have to get them all sewn together.  Even though it doesn't look like I have been sewing, I have.  I made a vest and a pair of pants.  The pants are finished except for pressing, and the vest is finished except for buttons.  I thought I had some in my button stash, but none that would work. It is really hard to find nice buttons.  Gail K's has a great button selection, but is a little out of  my way.  I guess I will have to make a trip to the "J" place and see what they have.
